Max Royde

Max is the CEO of Kestrel, an independent investment manager, and leads the Investment Committee with Co-Founder Oliver Scott. In addition to his leadership activities for the firm overall, he is responsible for sourcing investment ideas and structuring the most suitable vehicles for new investments, whilst also driving the strategic improvement of investee companies – both as a minority investor and board member.

Max currently holds board positions for portfolio companies Pulsar Group plc, Team Internet Group plc and holding companies within the group that owns IQGeo Group Limited (a private company), as well as having a directorship at Findlay Park. He has held over a dozen directorships in total.

He has a deep understanding of software and services companies and have strong relationships with institutional investors focused on the UK tech sector – both public and private.

Max was previously a managing director at Peel Hunt, running the Technology franchise, with 25+ years of experience. Previously, Max was an Officer in the British Army.
