David Prance

David is a Partner, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Financial Officer. As Chief Compliance Officer he is responsible for all day-to-day compliance matters and compliance monitoring. He is also Kestrel’s MLRO. As Chief Financial Officer he reports to the Management Board in relation to the company’s finances and liaises with our Head of Finance in relation to day-today issues. In addition to these roles, he manages the relationships with our clients’ service providers and IT outsourced service providers.

David joined Kestrel in 2015 as Head of Compliance and was appointed CFO in 2016. Prior to joining Kestrel, he was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer at a London-based hedge fund management firm.

David has over 30 years’ experience in the asset management sector specialising in finance, operational and compliance roles across multiple jurisdictions. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells.
