Through the development of its Vuelio and Pulsar platforms supported by several strategic acquisitions, Access has now become a market leader in its sector with a growing strength in North America and Asia Pacific.

Kestrel involvement, actions and impact

After acquiring an initial stake in 2015, we built our holding through open market purchases as well as participating in primary issues by the Company to fund its acquisition and organic growth strategy. As at 30 September 2021, we held a c.21% interest in the Company.

Since we first invested, we encouraged management to dispose of non-core businesses and focus on the Company’s emerging core software activities. We subsequently supported increased development expenditure to enhance the core software offering and expansion of the team to support international expansion.

We identified and recommended a relevant and experienced non-executive director and coach for the CEO. This person remains a valued member of the Access Board.

We have made several customer introductions over the years and closely monitor VC backed developments in the sector.
